The machinability of most free cutting steels, Stainless Steel 416 Bright Bar (SS 416 Bright Bar) can be enhanced by the addition of sulphur which results in the presence of manganese sulphides. Grade 416 stainless steel has the highest machinability of any stainless steel, accounting for nearly 85% of easily machinable carbon steels. For most other easily machinable steels, the addition of sulfur improves machinability by forming manganese sulfide inclusions; however, this sulfur addition reduces corrosion resistance, weldability, and formability to levels lower than those of the non-easy machinable equivalent steel, grade 410. Grade 416 stainless steel is sometimes used unhardened or hardened and severely tempered due to its inexpensive cost and simplicity of machining. Martensitic stainless steels are tailored for high hardness, with some compromises on other qualities. Fabrication procedures must accommodate poor weldability and, in most cases, allow for a final hardening and tempering heat treatment. Corrosion resistance is lower than that of normal austenitic grades, and its usable working temperature range is limited by loss of ductility at subzero temperatures and loss of strength at high temperatures owing to over-tempering.

416 Stainless Steel Rod packaging
We pay attention to every process to ensure quality. The 416 round steel packaging we usually adopt is to pack the stainless steel round bars with environmentally friendly plastic bags and then put them into fumigation-free wooden boxes or wooden pallets. Customized packaging such as OEM can also be negotiated. We provide almost everything to meet your round bar packaging requirements. We attach great importance to packaging. The round bars are packed in wooden corrugated boxes, wrapped with plastic packaging and bubble film on the outside.
Qualité, livraison, inspection

Purchase orders for 416 round bars shall include quantity, PSL grade, type or category, API5L reference, diameter, surface finish, length, and any applicable attachments or additional requirements related to chemical composition, mechanical properties, heat treatment, additional testing, manufacturing process, surface finish, or end treatment. Bars are solution bright annealed.
