Stainless steel angles are most commonly used for supports or frames, but are also used in food equipment, building supports, structural supports, and medical equipment.
Can be welded and processed using simple procedures, 304/304L stainless steel angles are suitable for many environments, such as general industrial projects, chemical projects. While 316/316L angles are marine grade and have strong corrosion resistance in more demanding conditions.
The surface treatment we use on our stainless steel angles is hot rolling, annealing, and pickling. This surface treatment maximizes corrosion resistance and gives the angles a unique “stainless” appearance.
The two manufacturing methods are laser melting and hot rolling. Hot rolling produces stainless steel angles at a lower price. They usually have rounded or tapered edges. On the other hand, laser melted stainless steel angles have consistent sharp and square corners. They also have a sandblasted, smoother surface. Laser melted stainless steel angles have a smoother surface quality than hot rolled stainless steel angles.

316 Stainless Steel Angle
- 316 Stainless Steel Angle is an austenitic chromium nickel angle shape containing molybdenum which provides superior corrosion resistance and increased strength at elevated temperatures when compared to 304 Stainless.
- Because of the 4% molybdenum concentration, the 316 material is resistant to chloride ion stress corrosion. Stainless Steel 304 Unequal Angle Sizes vary depending on the application needs. Angles are used to hold components together using a grip. There are also angles with bolt holes for screws and bolts. The 316 Stainless Steel Unequal Angle is suitable for more corrosive applications than the 304 angles. The Stainless Steel Unequal Angle is just as frequent as the Equal Angle. - This versatile right angle steel has a wide range of applications and is available in grades 304 /30L and 316 /316L. Grade 304 is the most versatile and commonly used grade of stainless steel angle steel and is suitable for most general applications. It is easy to weld and has good formability and corrosion resistance. Sometimes called 18/8 stainless steel because its composition includes 18% chromium and 8% nickel, grade 304 is well suited to most applications.
- Grade 316 is more suitable for harsh environments, such as exposure to salt water and areas with high industrialization. Due to the higher nickel content and the addition of molybdenum to the metal, it has higher corrosion resistance than grade 304, especially to chlorides and chlorinated solutions. It also has good weldability, but is more difficult to process than grade 304.
