Daxun keeps stainless steel coil in stock across common grades and sizes, so most orders ship in 3–7 days without waiting on a new production run. Raw material is sourced from established mills including TISCO, ZPSS, Baosteel, JISCO, ATI, VDM, ArcelorMittal, and Outokumpu, giving consistent quality across every batch.
Stainless Steel Grades (300 and 200 series)
Stainless steel grades are classified by composition, properties, and application, which is what determines the right material for your project. Austenitic grades (e.g., 304, 316, 321) are non-magnetic, easily welded and formed, with the best corrosion resistance and ductility of the common grades — the default choice for food equipment, architectural finishes, and general corrosion-resistant applications. Duplex grades (e.g., 2205, 2507) combine austenitic and ferritic properties for higher strength and stronger resistance to stress corrosion cracking than standard austenitic grades — specified for chemical processing, oil and gas, and marine environments where standard grades fall short.
Stainless Steel Grades ( 400 series)
Ferritic grades (e.g., 409, 430, 439) offer good corrosion resistance and higher cost-effectiveness than austenitic grades, at the trade-off of lower ductility — magnetic, with lower carbon content for better resistance to stress corrosion cracking, commonly specified for automotive exhaust systems, industrial equipment, and kitchenware. Martensitic grades (e.g., 410, 420, 440) are heat-treatable to a range of hardness and strength levels, making them the choice for cutlery, surgical instruments, and turbine blades — but with lower corrosion resistance than austenitic or ferritic grades, a trade-off worth confirming against your application before specifying.
Stainless Steel Coil Finishing Options

Quality Control and Fabrication
Quality control covers every stage of coil production. Raw material is inspected against specification before entering production. In-process inspection monitors dimensions, surface finish, and mechanical properties as the coil is formed. Finished coil is verified against specified mechanical properties, chemical composition, and corrosion resistance requirements, with ultrasonic and eddy current testing used to detect internal or surface defects without damaging the material.
Fabrication techniques for stainless steel coils include
Cold rolling brings the coil to the specified thickness and surface finish at room temperature, improving strength and surface quality in the process. Heat treatment adjusts hardness and corrosion resistance as needed for the application, extending the material’s service life. Cutting to final size and shape uses shearing, sawing, or laser cutting, depending on the tolerance the specification calls for.

Stainless steel coil processing and customization
Daxun offers stainless steel coil processing including BA, 2B, and No.4 finishes with PVC/PE protective film. Coils can be re-coiled into smaller weights on request, with inner diameter (ID) from 150mm to 510mm and outer diameter (OD) from 300mm to 1200mm.
