Characteristics & Properties of Hastelloy G35
Hastelloy G-35 is a high-performance nickel-based alloy designed for extreme corrosive environments and high-temperature conditions. It is particularly suitable for harsh industrial fields such as chemical, petroleum refining and aerospace. The alloy has been optimized in chemical composition, containing a high proportion of nickel (about 46%), chromium (about 22%), molybdenum (about 8%) and tungsten (about 6%), and a small amount of cobalt and iron are added as auxiliary elements, which makes it have excellent corrosion resistance.
The most prominent feature of G-35 alloy is its ability to resist a variety of highly corrosive media, including sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid, hydrochloric acid and high-temperature chloride environments. Its high chromium and molybdenum content gives it excellent resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion, while the addition of tungsten further enhances its stability in oxidizing acids. In addition, the alloy can still maintain good mechanical strength and oxidation resistance at high temperatures and can be used for a long time at temperatures up to 1093°C (2000°F).
Due to these characteristics, Hastelloy G-35 is widely used in chemical equipment (such as reactors, heat exchangers), petroleum refining equipment (such as flue gas desulfurization systems), and aerospace components (such as gas turbine engine parts). Its excellent processing properties (such as weldability and forgeability) also make it more advantageous in manufacturing complex structures.

Hastelloy G35 alloy is an all-around nickel-chromium-molybdenum-tungsten alloy with good resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion and stress corrosion cracking. It has excellent resistance to oxidative aqueous media, including wet chlorine, nitric acid or mixed acids of oxidizing acids containing chloride ions. At the same time, Hastelloy G35 alloy also has ideal resistance to reducing and oxidizing environments encountered in the process. Relying on this versatile performance, it can be used in some troublesome environments or in factories for a variety of production purposes.

Hastelloy G35 alloy has an exceptional resistance to various chemical environments, including strong oxidizing substances, such as ferric chloride, cupric chloride, chlorine, thermally contaminated solutions (organic and inorganic), formic acid, acetic acid, acetic anhydride, seawater and salt solutions, etc. Hastelloy G35 alloy has the ability to resist the formation of grain boundary precipitation in the heat affected zone of welding, so that it can also be used in many chemical processes in the welding state.

These tests include flattening test, flaring test, ultrasonic flaw detection, crevice corrosion resistance test, mechanical property test, hardness test, material positive identification, and expansion test, etc. All these tests are designed to ensure that the Hastelloy G35 pipes meet the requirements of the intended applications. During the production process, we meticulously measure the outer diameter, wall thickness, and surface quality of the products. Our standard delivery time is 5 – 7 days, and for special sizes, it is 15 – 20 days.
