Stainless steel wire rope

Stainless steel wire rope is a stranded cable made of multiple stainless steel wires twisted together. Known for its high strength, flexibility and corrosion resistance, it is suitable for a variety of applications including rigging, handrails and structural support.

Stainless steel wire ropes are formed into specific structures by twisting different steel wires. Common types include:
Single-strand rope (simple structure): a single steel wire or multiple steel wires are twisted directly, which is soft but has average wear resistance and is used for light loads or temporary fixation (such as curtain rails and simple hoisting).
Multi-strand rope (mainstream structure):
– 6×7: 6 strands with 7 steel wires per strand, compact structure, good wear resistance, suitable for general lifting and traction (such as elevators and ropeways).
– 6×19: 6 strands with 19 steel wires per strand, moderate flexibility and strong load-bearing capacity, widely used in hoisting and port machinery.
– 6×37: 6 strands with 37 steel wires per strand, high flexibility and good bending fatigue performance, suitable for frequent bending scenarios (such as crane hooks and elevator traction).
– 8×19/8×37: 8-strand structure, softer and with excellent anti-rotation performance, used in situations requiring low torsion (such as oil drilling and medical equipment).
Sealed/filled structure: Steel wire or fiber core is filled between strands to enhance compression resistance and wear resistance (such as mine hoisting and ropeway bearing).
