Type 310S is a low carbon austenitic stainless steel. Type 310S is a low carbon version of Type 310 and is noted for its ability to tolerate high temperature applications. The 310S alloy, like 309S, is best suited for high temperature applications. Both alloys function well in temperatures up to 2000°F, especially where oxidation resistance is necessary. 309 and 310S are the best high temperature performance of the typical stainless grades in our collection. 310S stainless steel has strong corrosion resistance and resists carburization, oxidation, and other conditions. It delivers good performance in industrial grade high temperature situations where great resistance to carburization and thermal cycling corrosion is required. It remains austenitic throughout the full temperature range and does not get embrittled. Its great strength and high temperature oxidation resistance make it valuable in commercial incinerators, kilns and food processing equipment.

310S stainless steel pipe The purchase order shall include quantity, PSL grade, type or class, API5L reference, outside diameter, wall thickness, length and any applicable attachments or additional requirements related to chemical composition, mechanical properties, heat treatment, additional testing, manufacturing process, surface coating or end finish. Pipe is solution bright annealed.
