Martensitic 410 grade stainless steel can be toughened by a “quench and temper” heat treatment, like most non-stainless steels. It contains enough chromium (at least 11.5%) to resist corrosion. It has the highest corrosion resistance when it is polished after tempering and hardening. A general-purpose grade of stainless steel plate called 410 grade is usually hardened, but still machinable, and is used in applications that require moderate heat and corrosion resistance and high strength. The high hardness of martensitic stainless steel is its main feature, but some other characteristics are sacrificed. Poor weldability must be accommodated during manufacturing, and a final heat treatment is usually required. Martensitic stainless steels have lower corrosion resistance than ordinary austenitic stainless steels. They also lose ductility at temperatures below freezing and lose strength at temperatures above freezing due to over-tempering, which limits their useful operating temperature range. 410 alloy stainless steel plate is a widely used 12% chromium martensitic stainless steel plate that can be heat treated to produce a range of mechanical properties. 410 stainless steel plate has high strength and hardness while having good corrosion resistance. 410 Alloy Stainless Steel Plate is ductile and malleable. It is magnetic in all circumstances. Therefore, it is not recommended for use where severe corrosion may occur.
Stainless steel 410 plates are used in many different commercial applications. 410 plate features
Resistência à corrosão
410 is resistant to dry air, fresh water, mild bases and acids, foods, steam and hot gases.
It must be hardened for maximum heat and corrosion resistance. Best performance when smooth.
Heat Resistance
Good resistance to scaling up to about 650°C, but not generally recommended for use at temperatures between 400 and 580°C as mechanical properties are reduced.
Heat Treatment
Fully anneal 815-900°C, slow furnace cool to 600°C, then air cool.
Process anneal 650-760°C and air cool.
Soldadura
Easily welded by all standard methods, but requires preheating to 150-260°C and post weld annealing to reduce the likelihood of cracking.

- During the production process, we measure the diameter, thickness, and surface of the product. Our standard delivery time is 7-15 days, except for some special size products, our delivery time will increase to 20 days.

SS 410 Plate Surface Treatment
